“Stand Up For America” President Trump campaign is selling for Football Jerseys

President Donald Trump’s campaign is currently selling a “Stand Up For America” football jersey, according to the New York Post, which many feel is taking aim at NFL players who take a knee during the national anthem to protest police brutality against the black community. Trump has singled out players in the past for their protest, most notably former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Not only did he consistently go after Colin during rallies most recently, he took aim at Nike for making him the face of the brand.

The red jersey has a giant “45” sewn in the front and back, with Trump’s name featured prominently on the back. Predictably, there’s also an American flag embroidered onto one of the sleeves. It retails for $99, and the site claims that it’s “proudly made in the USA.”

Daughter-in-law Lara Trump, a senior adviser for the reelection campaign committee, told the New York Post that the theme for the jersey “originated out of President Trump’s love for the American flag and his fervent belief that Americans should always stand for our National Anthem.”

Despite Trump’s many attempts to criticize the practice of kneeling during the National Anthem, the act has been praised and adopted by people across the country who want to speak out against racial inequality in the US.
